Monday Morning Was supposed to be Like any Other Day for Ron Burkhardt – Until he Arrived at Work.
He found the company he worked for at the time had its doors locked and had gone out of business. With a wife, several children to take care of, and a mortgage, Ron had a decision to make:
Find another job or strike out on his own.
Ron established his company in 1961 and, through dedicated hard work and fair pricing, he grew his business with loyal customers. In the 1990s, after a long and rewarding career, Ron began looking to pass his business on. He was looking for someone who shared the same values with his loyal customers as he had. After rejecting several offers from other HVAC companies who he knew did not share his commitment to customer service, in 1998 Ron found Doug Erdmann, whom he found did share his vision of loyalty and commitment to his customers.
When Doug Erdmann took over, Burkhardt Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric grew rapidly with that same commitment to customers Ron had. As the company grew, it became Milwaukee’s market leader in HVAC and received recognition from Angie’s List, earning its “Super Service” award 19 years in a row. Burkhardt Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric also received national recognition from the factory with two “Medal of Excellence” as well as numerous “Circle of Champion” awards.
In 2020 Ben Sibley purchased Burkhardt Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric with a vision to continue to operate with the same commitment to exceptional customer service as Ron and Doug had before him. As Burkhardt Heating & AC Inc continues to grow in the future, Ben expects the Burkhardt Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric legacy that began with Ron Burkhardt will continue for many generations to come!
